Rock climbing training is the first step towards adventure activities. In West Bengal, there are few spots where this training is imparted those are in South Bengal, in the districts of Bankura and Purulia. It is only possible during the winter season. The duration of such training is generally is four days. The instructors are from local volunteers. A pattern of training schedule is followed.
The equipment is having at the clubs located in the state of West Bengal. The allotment of training sites is made by an agency under the Youth Service Department of Government of West Bengal. This agency also grants funds for the adventurous activities of this state.
The certain climbers and clubs do visit the Jharkhand area for rock climbing activities, it may be better a comprehensive plan can be worked out so that young people can master the art of climbing.
